The joint program designed for high-caliber executives impresses in latest edition of prominent ranking
In the 2026 edition of the renowned Financial Times Executive MBA Ranking, the EMBA Program jointly offered by Kellogg School of Management and WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management stands at #34 worldwide and #2 in Germany. Thanks to considerable progress made in several categories of the ranking, the program has advanced eight places since last year.
Since its inception in 1997, the Kellogg-WHU EMBA has been a core staple of the school’s program portfolio, and it has always sought to address the needs of high-caliber executives. These are students who have already amassed several years of experience in leadership positions and who can already be considered experts in their fields—and yet they are still seeking to expand their knowledge even further, showing they have a lifelong appetite for learning and improvement. The Kellogg-WHU is designed to help them pursue that goal.
Overall student satisfaction among alumni with the Kellogg-WHU EMBA program remains very high, with 9.21 out of a possible 10 points and putting the program at #36 worldwide in this category. The Kellogg-WHU EMBA performed well in a variety of pertinent categories: In “aims achieved,” which measures the extent to which alumni fulfilled their goals or reasons for pursuing an EMBA, the program now ranks #32, indicating a high level of success for the program’s graduates. The program also placed at #15 for “work experience” and “carbon footprint.”
The “international course experience” category assesses the proportion of classroom teaching hours required to take place outside the business school’s location. WHU now ranks #17 in this category, a result that reflects the program’s international orientation and diverse, immersive study experience. It also reaffirms one of the program’s biggest strengths, that being its high degree of global interconnectivity, via the wide Kellogg School of Management network as well as In Praxi – WHU Alumni Network. The latter is a highly active organization that links WHU’s current students to its graduates and offers members a place to pursue new opportunities together. In the “alumni network” category, the program currently ranks at #44, reflecting the network’s effectiveness in supporting career opportunities, launching businesses, recruiting staff, and providing information about events.
In addition to its position in this latest Financial Times ranking, the program, under the direction of apl. Professor Katrin Baedorf, was recently named Germany’s #1 joint EMBA in the latest edition of the QS Executive MBA Ranking for 2026.
