Exploring the Future of Work: Welcome, Dr. Keni Song
We are excited to welcome Dr. Keni Song as a new postdoctoral researcher at the Chair of Leadership at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management in Düsseldorf. Keni has joined the team at the beginning of October 2025 for a two-year appointment, bringing extensive experience in organizational behavior and occupational health psychology.
Keni recently completed her PhD as part of a joint program between Beijing Jiaotong University and Trinity College Dublin. Her research centers on how digital transformation, particularly technologies like electronic performance monitoring and Artificial Intelligence, shapes employee work behavior and well-being. She is particularly interested in understanding how technology can be used not only to enhance performance, but also to create healthier and more meaningful workplaces.
In addition to a strong academic record with several peer-reviewed publications and experience in managing research projects, Keni is passionate about connecting academic insights with organizational practice. Her active involvement in coaching and professional development programs reflects WHU’s mission to advance research that creates real-world impact.
During her time at WHU, Keni will focus on examining the impact of electronic performance monitoring on employee performance and well-being within the broader context of digital HRM. With this focus on digital transformation and the future of human resource practices, Keni’s work will both further advance the Chair’s research agenda and benefit from the close supervision of Professor Fabiola Gerpott, who brings extensive expertise in this field through her research and teaching on leadership, AI, and the future of work.
We look forward to the fresh perspectives and energy Keni will bring to our Chair!
