New semester marks fresh chapter for WHU’s mental health and well-being initiatives
With the start of the new semester at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management in September 2025, the newly formed Positive Health & Well-Being Center is delighted to welcome students back to campuses in Düsseldorf and Vallendar. Building upon existing offerings to support students’ mental health and resilience, the center represents a structural and conceptual evolution that now brings services to both locations in a unified framework.
The team comprises the center’s three managers, each of whom is dedicated to strengthening the mental health, resilience, and well-being of the WHU community: Anna Davids, a life coach mainly responsible for the campus in Düsseldorf; Viktoria Gruhn, a psychological counselor mainly responsible for the campus in Vallendar; and Dr. Shu Ling Tan, a positive health psychologist mainly responsible for the campus in Düsseldorf.
Together, they look forward to providing students with a broad range of services and activities—from educational resources and events to professional and confidential 1:1 counseling and coaching services over to peer-to-peer support networks. Their framework is intended to create a supportive environment at WHU.
The team is excited to work with students on both campuses to foster an environment of psychological safety, where everybody feels seen, heard, and understood.
