Financial Times Masters in Management Ranking: WHU among top business schools both domestically and abroad
In the latest edition of the Financial Times Masters in Management Ranking, published this morning, WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management has maintained its first place position among all participating business schools in Germany. Through its Master in Management Program, the school, based both in Vallendar and Düsseldorf, has reached #14 in the ranking’s global comparison. The Financial Times has therefore ranked the university in its top tier, comprising the world’s 16 best programs. WHU’s students are pleased with the school and its program, awarding both an overall satisfaction score of 9.38 out of a possible 10 points, resulting in a #6 placement in this category.
“These fantastic results show that WHU’s Master in Management has established itself as an excellent program and has a strong reputation both at home and on the international stage,” said Professor Christian Andres, Dean of WHU. “We’re proud of these first-class results.”
WHU performed particularly well in several categories, including “aims achieved” (#6 globally; #8 in 2023), “alumni network” (#2 globally; #6 in 2023), and “carrier service” (#2 globally; #6 in 2023). In that first category, the Financial Times notes the degree to which the program’s graduates have succeeded in pursuing their established goals. The second sees graduates rate how helpful the school’s alumni network has been regarding new career opportunities. The final category looks at the work performed by the school’s Career Center and how it affects student satisfaction.
The school has made a noticeable jump from #72 to #1 regarding the graduates’ “job placement after three months” and has improved significantly in the “carbon footprint” category, now ranking #5 (#31 in 2023). “We see this as encouraging proof that our university’s focus on sustainability is paying off,” said Professor Carl Marcus Wallenburg, Associate Dean Graduate Programs.
