Management Accounting program leads nationally in BYU Accounting Research Ranking
WHU–Otto Beisheim School of Management’s doctoral program in Management Accounting has been ranked No. 1 in Germany in the latest Brigham Young University (BYU) Accounting Research Ranking. Across Europe, WHU shares third place with the Maastricht University School of Business and Economics.
The program’s success has become a hallmark of excellence: for the past ten consecutive years, WHU’s doctoral program has consistently placed first or second in Germany. This sustained performance underscores the outstanding achievements of current and former doctoral candidates at WHU’s Institute of Management Accounting and Control, led by Professors Utz Schäffer, Marko Reimer, and Lukas Löhlein.
Compiled annually by Scott Summers and David A. Wood of Brigham Young University, the BYU Accounting Research Ranking is widely regarded as one of the leading international benchmarks of research productivity in accounting. The ranking is based on the number of peer-reviewed articles published in twelve of the world’s most prestigious accounting journals within six years of completing a doctoral degree.
