WHU Research Seminar in Management Accounting & Control

The IMC had the pleasure of welcoming Professor Jeremy Morales from the University of Bristol to the WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management campus Vallendar on April 15-16, 2025. Jeremy has published extensively in the areas of management accountants' roles, professional identities, organizational silences, and digitalization in leading accounting journals.

He presented his working paper, co-authored with Elise Berlinski, Arthur Gaudron, and Jan Mouritsen, on the impact of data science on performance management. In addition, he shared interesting insights into how algorithmic and managerial views of performance (fail to) interact and evolve. Jeremy also interacted with the IMC’s PhD students, giving individual feedback on ongoing research projects and discussing his previously published work.
