WHU Initiative Donates to School Meal Program in Rwanda

Proceeds from WHU Students Help benefit concert support the WHUSH x Rwanda project

Making music for a good cause — that’s exactly what students from the WHU Students Help (WHUSH) initiative at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management in Vallendar did once again this year. The annual benefit concert, held in late November at St. Marzellinus and Petrus parish church, raised nearly 2,400 euros in donations. This year’s proceeds will go to the WHUSH x Rwanda project, which provides warm lunches for children in Rwanda.

To create a memorable evening, WHU students once again put together a diverse musical program: violin, viola, piano, organ, and dance offered something for every taste and delighted the roughly 250 attendees. To boost the fundraising effort even further, WHU members sold soup, waffles, and mulled wine on the Burgplatz before the concert.

Initiated in the fall of 2004, WHUSH has made it its mission to promote long-term social engagement within the school’s student body and ensure continued support where it is needed most. The student club is currently home to around 800 members and dedicates itself to both to local and international aid projects.
