WHU First Responder and German Red Cross Plan Blood Drive for Sep 23

Blood donations save lives and are essential in many emergency situations. To that end, on Tuesday, September 23, the student-led WHU First Responder of WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management, together with the German Red Cross, is hosting a blood drive. Between the hours of 14:00 (2:00 PM) and 18:30 (6:30 PM), residents who weigh at least 50kg (110 lbs), who do not suffer from any serious illnesses, and who are at least 18 years old can donate their blood at the school’s C-building on the Burgplatz.

Those willing to donate can sign up at the door by filling out a short form. Experienced medical professionals will evaluate each donor’s current health status and determine their eligibility. Accepted donors will then give up to 500ml (17.5oz) of blood and relax in the recovery room.
