Residents can donate blood in WHU’s C-building between 2:00 – 6:30 P.M. on February 11
Blood donations are vital for treating a variety of serious medical problems and can even save lives. On Wednesday, February 11, WHU First Responder, a student club at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management, will once again host a blood donation drive in conjunction with the German Red Cross. Between the hours of 14:00 and 18:30 (2:00 – 6:30 P.M.), residents can come to the school’s C-building on the Burgplatz to participate in the drive. Those who are at least 18 years of age, weigh at least 50 kg (110 lbs), and who do not suffer from any serious illness are eligible to donate.
Donors can sign up at the door by filling out and returning a short form. Experienced medical professionals will evaluate each donor’s current health status and determine their eligibility. Accepted donors will then give up to 500 ml (17.5 oz) of blood and relax in the recovery room.
All those who wish to donate and participate in this drive can also sign up in advance here (in German). Pre-registration is not necessary but will reduce waiting times.
