The program reaches #30 worldwide and yields particularly high marks for its alumni’s outcomes and employability
University data analyst firm Quacquarelli Symonds has recently published its 2026 Master’s in Finance (MiF) Ranking, and with it comes great news for WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management. The school’s own MiF program has placed #1 in Germany and #30 out of a total 248 programs analyzed this year. As a result, WHU has successfully defended its status from last year (#28) despite a noticeable increase in the number of schools considered (222 in 2024).
WHU’s program received an overall score of 73.7 out of a possible 100 points and stands well above the average for all business schools in four out of five categories.
“Our MiF program’s exciting global placement gives our master’s students and alumni assurance that the knowledge in finance and international finance markets they gain here at our school truly provides the most solid foundation for a successful career as a leader in the global financial sector,” noted Professor Christian Andres, Dean of WHU. “And, of course, we are delighted that we have made a name for ourselves as an international competitor.”
The WHU Master in Finance performed particularly well in the “alumni outcomes” and “employability” categories, placing #23 and #32 respectively. The category “employability”—which carries particular weight in the ranking—is based on a global survey conducted by QS on the reputation of the university among potential employers. The good results confirm the global perception of the WHU program and its graduates. WHU also performed very well in the “value for money” category, where it reached #24, while it made less of an impact in the “diversity” category.
