QS Ranking: WHU’s Global Online MBA Remains #1 in Germany

The school’s Online MBA program maintains high position in yearly ranking

Last year, the Global Online MBA offered at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management made its successful debut in the Global MBA Ranking published by the renowned university analyst firm Quacquarelli Symonds (QS). With the most recent edition of the ranking, which included a total of 126 programs, WHU was able to both defend its previous placement and improve its showing in nearly all categories, ultimately reaching #1 in Germany, #10 in Europe, and #24 worldwide. Evaluation is based on a combination of publicly accessible data, information provided by participating schools, and employer surveys. These results underscore that, despite increased competition, WHU still offers Germany’s strongest online MBA.

The program has an impressive successful completion rate of 97.7%. It performed well in several categories, ranking well above the international average:

  • Faculty and teaching (#10)
  • Class experience (#19)
  • Employability (#23)

“The continuous development of our MBA programs, as well as our deliberate focus on corporate expectations and the expectations of our program participants, are of the utmost importance,” said Professor Christian Andres, Dean of WHU. “These exciting results show us that we’re on the right path and that we are offering our graduates useful skills and tools for their careers. We offer courses that cover a wide range of highly relevant topics—from sustainability to generative AI and other future-focused topics. Our curriculum has been designed for distance learning, with asynchronous study formats and flexible schedules.”

WHU developed the Global Online MBA in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the program continuously adapts to meet ever-evolving economic and corporate demands.

The program provides a sound and comprehensive education in areas central to business administration, including leadership, entrepreneurship, and responsible decision-making. To round out their online studies, students spend one week on the school’s campus in Düsseldorf, where they experience the WHU spirit for themselves. They also gain access to the school’s MBA Career Center, which supports students with their individual career plans.
