Former German Chancellor to Open the Conference on March 13 and 14 in Vallendar
“United in Challenge, Together in Change” – this is the theme of this year’s conference hosted by the WHU initiative SensAbility–The WHU Impact Summit. Hardly a guiding principle could be more timely: in light of global crises and profound transformation processes, businesses and societies are facing enormous challenges. Emphasizing the importance of responsibility and sustainability in this global context, former German Chancellor Olaf Scholz will speak at the conference at Vallendar City Hall. He will deliver the opening keynote of the WHU Impact Summit on March 13.
The two-day conference is aimed at all those who view business as a lever for sustainable, practical solutions to the most pressing challenges of our time. Academics, students, and young professionals will come together alongside representatives from industry and practice.
In addition to exclusive workshops and networking opportunities, the program includes a career fair, speed networking sessions, and a flying dinner. The summit thus creates space for professional exchange, career perspectives, and interdisciplinary networking.
Numerous distinguished speakers, including Alexander Becker (CEO of GMH Group), Professor Andreas Löschel (Chair of Environmental and Resource Economics and Sustainability at Ruhr University Bochum and researcher at RWI – Leibniz Institute for Economic Research), Nico Rosberg (Formula One World Champion and founder of Rosberg Ventures), and Jürgen Trittin (author, speaker, and former Federal Minister), among many others, will provide insights into key issues shaping the future. Topics will include innovations from Silicon Valley, sustainable materials as drivers of climate-neutral growth, and the role of the financial sector in shaping sustainable transformation.
