MBA students develop sustainable business solutions with local social entrepreneurs in Poland
As part of the innovative 'Leading with Impact' course in partnership with BOOKBRIDGE, Professor Yuval Kalish led WHU MBA students on an inspiring journey to Toruń, Poland. There, they collaborated with local social entrepreneurs to address critical challenges and develop sustainable business solutions.
Applying Design Thinking principles, the students identified key issues, crafted practical business models, and successfully launched four social enterprises — all within just one week. This hands-on experience not only enabled them to put their academic knowledge into practice but also encouraged their growth as responsible leaders and changemakers.
Professor Yuval Kalish, Chairholder of the Chair of Leadership, Networks, and Organizations and Academic Director of the WHU MBA Program, emphasized: “Responsible leadership means taking action for a better future. Through our collaboration with BOOKBRIDGE, WHU MBA students don’t just learn leadership — they live it.”
The students will pitch their ventures to impact investors in April.
