Filming for the 12th Koblenz charity thriller titled “Sondereinsatzkommando Karmelenberg” took place at WHU
On March 8, 2025, filming began for the 12th Koblenz Charity Thriller, titled “Sondereinsatzkommando Karmelenberg” (SOKO Karmelenberg). The charity thriller has been an established cultural project in Koblenz for 30 years. This year, filming took place once again at the WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management, where the Chair of Production Management under the management of Prof. Dr. Arnd Huchzermeier provided its facilities.
The charity thriller is a non-profit project, with the proceeds benefiting social initiatives. Since its first production in 1997, the series has been filmed in the greater Koblenz area with the participation of numerous celebrities. Past actors have included Hannelore Elsner, Thomas Anders, and Veronica Ferres. Additionally, politicians such as state premiers, mayors, and police chiefs have made guest appearances.
The film is directed by Bernd Schneider, with his wife, Catrin Nickenig, in the lead role of Petra Kern, a psychologist and profiler. Interested actors and film enthusiasts can directly contact the project’s team for more information.
