Kellogg-EMBA Program Top 10 in QS Ranking

WHU’s EMBA with the Kellogg School of Management reaches #10 in list of world’s best joint programs

London-based analyst firm Quacquarelli Symonds has recently issued the latest edition of its QS Executive MBA Rankings, bringing with it good news for WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management. The school’s collaboration with the Kellogg School of Management (Illinois, USA) has now placed within the Top 10 in the ranking’s joint programs subdivision: #10 globally (#12 in previous years) and #2 in Germany.

A detailed look at the results shows that the Kellogg-WHU Executive MBA—a program designed for today’s most experienced and forward thinking business leaders—has not only managed to maintain its solid standing in several areas. It has moved up in the ranks, with particular regards to “employer reputation” (#2) and “thought leadership” (#7). Yet the program showed the most improvement in the “diversity” subcategory, where it now ranks #13 over last year’s position at #19, results mainly influenced by the program’s more international student body. In fact, in receiving 64.5 out of a possible 100 points, the program has, for the first time since its participation in this ranking, bested the global average (60.4 points).

Kellogg-WHU’s improved placements can largely be attributed to the program’s strong and consistent performance over the past few years. “These scores are a clear sign that we are heading in the right direction with our program,” noted Professor Christian Andres, Dean of WHU. “But we never want to rest on our laurels. We want to aim even higher and will continue to adapt and improve our program in the years to come.”

The Kellogg School of Management maintains a global network of EMBA programs accessible to managers based all around the world. Its joint EMBA with WHU debuted in 1997, the result of a collaboration between two pioneers in the then-unexplored market for post-experience master’s level programs in Europe: WHU’s Professor Horst Albach (†) and Kellogg’s Dean Emeritus Donald Jacobs (†). Over 25 years later, and now under the stewardship of Professor Jürgen Weigand (Associate Dean Post-Experience Programs and Academic Director EMBA) and Program Director Hanne Mai, the Kellogg-WHU EMBA continues to educate some of today’s greatest leaders and business minds.
