An extraordinary journey comes to an end for the participants of the Kellogg-WHU EMBA Program
At a festive graduation ceremony at the Electoral Palace in Koblenz on Friday, the graduates of the joint EMBA Program offered by Kellogg School of Management and WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management received their degrees. Over the past two years, they have honed their newly learned skills, adopted unfamiliar perspectives, and developed a strong network that will last a lifetime—and all during those difficult times still strongly influenced by the COVID-19 pandemic.
“You will have a profound influence on the world around you. Today, in these times of doubt, the unique blend of skills and abilities you possess are crucial for advancing—and stabilizing—our society,” said Professor Christian Andres, Dean of WHU, congratulating all participants of the Kellogg-WHU Executive MBA Program on their success. Andres emphasized the achievements of the executives in his laudatory speech, noting that all of them had achieved a great deal, especially as they all had other commitments that demanded their attention outside of the EMBA program. He thanked the lecturers, Professor Jürgen Weigand as Academic Director of the EMBA program at WHU, and Hanne Mai, who served as Program Director for many years before announcing her retirement.
Jon B. Kaplan, Assistant Dean at the Kellogg School of Management responsible for the school’s Executive MBA Global Network, also traveled to Koblenz to express his appreciation to the EMBA graduates. He thanked the program participants for their commitment and wished them all the best for their professional future. The closing speech was given by WHU alumnus Tobias Rölz (EMBA 2019), Executive Vice President Market & Digital Services of the Komax Group, a German technology company specializing in automated wire processing.
The excellent future prospects of program participants, as well as how satisfied alumni are with the EMBA Program at WHU, is reflected in the most recent Executive MBA Ranking published by the Financial Times. Globally, the program ranks #29, well above the average of all 100 universities surveyed. Thanks to its interactive modules and global partner concept, which is implemented at leading business schools located in differing regions around the world, the Kellogg-WHU EMBA Program is one of Europe’s most unique opportunities for experienced professionals and leaners.
