Frank M. Schmid Joins Executive Board of the WHU Foundation

At its most recent board meeting, the WHU Foundation decided to appoint WHU alumnus Frank M. Schmid to its Executive Board of Directors. 

“As a graduate of WHU’s very first cohort, the school has had a lasting impact on me. It is therefore a special honor for me to now actively support WHU as a member of the Foundation’s Executive Board,” said Frank M. Schmid.

“Frank is a successful entrepreneur, founder, and long-standing companion of WHU. He brings valuable expertise and perspective that will further enrich the work of the foundation’s board. I am very pleased to welcome him as a board member,” said Dr. Dr. Christoph Glaser, Chairman of the Executive Board of the WHU Foundation.

Frank M. Schmid, WHU Diploma 1988, is founder and managing director of Schmid Mobility Solutions GmbH and a highly regarded expert on mobility infrastructure projects, advising stakeholders in politics and business. In addition, he develops specialized real estate projects, for example concepts for the use of airspace above roads, with the aim of creating affordable housing while minimizing land sealing. Already during his time at WHU, he was actively engaged in supporting the school and co-founded the alumni association In Praxi as well as the university sports association. Following his graduation, he has remained closely connected to WHU, among other roles as a founding and board member of the WHU Real Estate Club.
