Dr. Christoph Glaser Joins WHU Foundation Board of Directors

Dr. Glaser advises family businesses and non-profit organizations on strategic issues—skills he has now lent to the strategic development of WHU

At its most recent assembly, the WHU Foundation (Stiftung WHU) voted to welcome Dr. Christoph Glaser to its board of directors. He is currently assisting with the school’s leadership with its continued strategizing efforts, a collaborative project closely involving members of the foundation, in particular Dr. Toni Calabretti and Annette Heuser, as well as members of the school’s alumni association In Praxi. At its upcoming meeting in January of 2026, the foundation will reach a decision concerning Dr. Glaser’s potential future role as Chairman of the Board.

“I’m excited to work closely with WHU,” said Dr. Glaser. “I am a strong advocate for the same values that define the school—pursuing academic excellence and adopting an entrepreneurial, responsible mindset and approach to conducting business.”

Dr. Glaser is a board member at the Prof. Otto Beisheim Foundation in Germany and a managing director at Beisheim Holding GmbH in Baar, Switzerland. He studied medicine and philosophy in Erlangen and Munich, as well as internationally in China, India, and South Africa. He earned his doctorate in clinical neurology as well as in Modern German literature. Dr. Glaser later went on to work at medical campuses both at home in Germany and abroad before moving on to BMW AG as a communications officer for Chairman of the Supervisory Board Eberhard von Kuenheim. There, he and von Kuenheim founded the Eberhard von Kuenheim Foundation, today known as the BMW Foundation. He also co-founded Phorms Education SE, where he acted as managing director, and subsequently worked with the Reimann family of entrepreneurs. There, he was responsible for international social business and was a member of the boards of several profit and non-profit companies.
