#1 in Germany: WHU’s Master in International Business Builds Upon Position in QS Ranking

WHU’s alumni have strong career prospects and enjoy a solid reputation in the eyes of today’s employers

The latest edition of the QS International Trade Ranking MBA/Masters for 2026, published by renowned university data analyst firm Quacquarelli Symonds, brings good news for WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management: The school’s Master in International Business Program (MIB) has placed #1 in Germany and #15 worldwide, with WHU having improved by six positions relative to its scores in the previous ranking. These results are all the more impressive when considering that the number of programs included in this particular cycle has sharply increased, rising from 87 for 2025 to a total of 136 for 2026.

WHU’s MIB performed particularly well in several categories, including “trade programme content” and “innovative teaching,” again reaching the top 20 for both. It leapt ahead 18 places in “graduate outcomes” (#23), which comprises the “career services” and “employment rate” sub-categories, in which WHU achieved much higher placements over the previous edition of the ranking. In fact, WHU displayed a 100% employment rate among all students who completed the program within the time frame evaluated. Elsewhere, the school’s placement in the “reputation” category improved by two positions and now sits at #25. Of note, WHU’s program is increasingly enjoying a positive perception among potential employers. There is, however, still room for potential in the “industry engagement” category.

All told, WHU’s MIB scored 78.6 out of a possible 100 points and lies far ahead of the global average (i.e., among all internationally oriented business schools evaluated) in five out of six categories.
