The program for experienced managers shows its strengths when it comes to employer reputation and progressive thinking
The current ranking by the renowned analyst firm Quacquarelli Symonds brings great news for WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management: its Executive MBA Program, offered jointly with the Kellogg School of Management is now ranked #1 in Germany and #8 worldwide. This ranking is regarded as an important touchstone for experienced managers who wish to further their education with a program tailored to their individual needs.
In recent years, the Kellogg-WHU EMBA has established itself among the top ten joint programs worldwide, having reached #10 globally and #2 in Germany by 2023.
In addition to once again piercing the global top ten, the program, one of 27 joint programs evaluated, has improved upon or matched its scores in all subcategories since last year. In particular, it has maintained its previous strong positions at #2 and #7 in “employer reputation” and “thought leadership” respectively; placed at #12 in “diversity” (#13 in 2024); and made a noticeable jump to #13 in “career outcomes” (#18 in 2024). That latter score reveals that salary growth among graduates rose from 48% to 71% since last year, with the program earning 80.3 points in the “mean salary increase” sub-subcategory.
The program’s performance across all criteria has yielded a strong overall score of 74.7 out of 100 points (64.5 in 2024).
“These results are proof that our program offers future-oriented managers exactly what they need in this world. Our joint program always takes into account the latest technological innovations and developments happening at the international level, allowing experienced managers access to a high-caliber education,” noted Professor Christian Andres, Dean of WHU. “It is particularly pleasing that we were not only able to maintain our good results, but also improve upon them, even when the competition getting stiffer.”
The Kellogg School of Management and WHU launched their joint program in 1997 to support today’s executives and business professionals. And it has repeatedly been recognized as a pioneer in executive education in Europe.
“What we do, together with our partners at the Kellogg School of Management, has real value for the students and the greater world of business,” noted apl. Professor Katrin Baedorf, Program Director EMBA. “We are very pleased that we can help our participants grow further in their leadership roles by offering a real transformative journey with our program. Something that is not only confirmed by analysts, such as QS, but also frequently in everyday life.”
