This course introduces the basic concepts and tools of probability theory used throughout the Kellogg-WHU EMBA Program. The first part of this course covers sample spaces, elementary probability laws and conditional probability. The second part covers probability distributions, measures of central tendency and dispersion, and correlation. The third part introduces the normal distribution. Finally, the course transitions into statistics and depicts the basic ideas of statistical sampling. Excel functions and tools are introduced and used throughout the course.
